How to play Neon Snake

1. Press Play, then nudge the snake in the direction of the first glowing food dot.
2. Drive the snake over a dot to eat it — each one adds a segment to your tail and scores +1.
3. Plan your turns early, because the snake keeps gliding even when you are not steering it.
4. Keep clear of the four walls and never let the head cross any part of your own body.
5. Reach a score of 10 to clear the game, then keep going to push your best score even higher.

Controls

On a computer, steer with the arrow keys — up, down, left or right. On a phone or tablet, swipe in the direction you want the snake to travel. You cannot reverse straight back into yourself, so turn at right angles to thread through tight spaces.

Tips & strategy

• Hug the outer edges in long, deliberate laps — circling the board uses space efficiently and leaves the middle open for the next dot.
• Turn a beat before you reach a wall, not at the last pixel; the snake commits to each move, so early inputs keep you out of trouble.
• When your tail is long, weave it into neat rows rather than loose loops — tidy coils leave clean corridors you can dive back through.
• Never chase a dot tucked against the wall if your tail is blocking the exit — grab an easier one first and come back for it later.
• Avoid sharp double-backs in cramped corners; a single mistimed turn into your own body ends everything you have built.
• Once you pass 10, slow your inputs down rather than speeding up — most game-overs come from over-steering, not from being too cautious.
