How to play Whack Attack
- Watch the grid of holes — moles will pop up from them one or two at a time, at random spots.
- Tap a mole the instant it appears to whack it; each hit adds one to your score.
- Be quick — every mole only stays up for a brief moment before it ducks back down.
- Letting a mole escape without tapping it counts as a miss; you are allowed only three.
- Notice the pace quicken as your score climbs — moles appear sooner and vanish faster.
- Keep whacking to push your score as high as you can; three missed moles ends the run.
Controls
On a phone or tablet, simply tap each mole as it pops up — your taps register anywhere across the grid, so you can jab at moles on opposite sides in quick succession. On a desktop, click the moles with your mouse; aim for the mole itself rather than the empty holes.
Tips & strategy
- Rest your eyes on the whole grid rather than one hole — moles appear at random, and tunnel vision is how the ones on the edges slip past you.
- Tap the moment you register a pop-up; hesitating to aim perfectly wastes the split second the mole is actually up.
- When two moles surface together, hit the one that popped first — it is closest to ducking back down and becoming a miss.
- As the speed ramps up, keep your taps short and decisive; long, careful swipes cost you the next mole.
- Treat your three misses as precious — never lunge for a mole you have clearly already lost, just reset and catch the next one cleanly.
- On touch, keep your hand hovering over the centre of the grid so your thumb has the shortest reach to any corner.
About Whack Attack
Whack Attack is a pure reflex game built around one cheeky little creature: the mole. They pop up from their holes without warning, linger for a heartbeat, then duck back down. Your job is simple to say and tricky to do — spot a mole and tap it before it disappears, over and over, faster and faster.
There is no finish line to reach. Every clean tap nudges your score up and quietly speeds the moles along, so a calm opening soon becomes a blur of pop-ups. Three slips — moles you let escape — and the run is over, leaving you with a best score to beat on the very next go.
What makes Whack Attack so easy to fall into is how honest it feels. There is no luck and no hidden trick — just you, your eyes and your reactions against a stream of moles that politely refuses to slow down. The early seconds lull you into thinking you have it sorted, and then the pace tightens and every pop-up becomes a tiny test of nerve.
A great run lives and dies on staying loose. Tense up and you start jabbing at empty holes; relax and let your eyes do the work and the taps seem to land themselves. Because it never truly ends, there is always one more mole, one more point, and one more attempt where you finally outlast your last best score.
Frequently asked questions
Is Whack Attack free to play?
Yes, completely. Whack Attack is free to play as many times as you like at KeanPlay, with no charges, no in-game purchases and no sign-up required.
Do I need to download anything?
No. Whack Attack runs straight in your web browser. There is nothing to install or download — just open the page and start tapping moles.
Can I play on my phone?
Absolutely. The game is built for touch, so you simply tap the moles as they appear. It plays just as well on a phone or tablet as it does on a desktop.
How does the game end?
There is no set finish — Whack Attack is endless high-score play. The run only ends when you let three moles escape, so the goal is to last as long as you can and beat your best score.
Why do the moles get harder to catch?
The pace rises with your score: as you whack more moles, they pop up sooner and stay visible for less time. That steady speed-up is what turns a gentle start into a real reflex challenge.
